CELL PHONE POLICY & PURPOSE
Upon the completion of your probationary period (60 worked days) you will be issued a company smart phone. It is required that you use this phone for daily operations.
We recognize that cell phones/smartphones are an integral part of our everyday operation, however, cell phones may also cause problems when used excessively.
WE ADVISE OUR EMPLOYEES TO:
Preserve the new condition of the company phone
Surf the internet, text and talk on the phone during downtime only
Downtime is considered time when NOTHING else can be done:
Remove trash from cab
Clean inside of cab
Clean out outside compartments
Insure tickets are filled out completely and correctly
Be helpful towards others, etc.
WE WON’T ALLOW OUR EMPLOYEES TO:
Use their phones for any reason while driving a company vehicle
Hands free accessories are the only exception
Use their cell phone’s camera or microphone to record confidential information.
Use their phones in areas where cell use is explicitly prohibited
Download or upload inappropriate, illegal or obscene material on a company cell phone
CELL PHONE USAGE SHOULD BE RESERVED FOR:
Making business calls.
Checking important messages
Making brief personal calls
Our company retains the right to monitor employees for excessive or inappropriate use of their cell phones. If an employee’s phone usage causes a decline in productivity or interferes with our operations, we reserve the right to put limitations on the phone. For example:
Set content and privacy restrictions
Prevent iTunes and App Store purchases
Restrict Siri and web search
Restrict Game Center, etc.
Employees may face severe disciplinary action up to and including termination, in cases when they refuse to abide by company cell phone policy and/or cause an accident by recklessly using their phones.
The Bremik, LLC Cell Phone Plan includes an iPhone with Verizon Wireless service. This service plan includes:
Damaged (including liquid damage)
Post-warranty electrical or mechanical malfunction.
Any additional charges applied to the phone are the employees responsibility (i.e. hotspot, apple music, app subscriptions, etc).
You are welcome to use the company issued phone for personal use to avoid carrying two phones.
If you choose to maintain a personal phone as well as a company phone, you will be expected to have access to your company phone at all times. Due to the nature of our business changes happen by the hour and it is vital that you can be reached.
Once your employment with Bremik, LLC has ended you will be required to turn your phone in immediately. You will have the option to keep your phone number.
Note: Cell phones not returned will have service shut off and wiped after 7 days.
